How to Contribute

The Seventh Tradition states:
"Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions."

While contributions cover each group's rent and other expenses, the Seventh Tradition is essential at every level of A.A. service. It is both a privilege and a responsibility for groups and members to ensure that not only their group, but also their intergroup/central office, local services, district, area, and the General Service Office remain self-supporting.

This keeps A.A. free of outside influences that might divert us from our primary purpose - to help the alcoholic who still suffers. The amount of our contribution is secondary to the spiritual connection that unites all groups around the world.

Please note that contributions are accepted only from A.A. members.
People who wish to help the cause of sobriety are encouraged to send their gracious donations to other local organizations.

Contribute using Venmo

We now accept Venmo payments for contributions!

1. Download the Venmo App and link your debit card or enter your bank information.
2. Once your account is set up, tap the Pay or Request button and search for district6mn or scan the code below.
   
   • The account will be under the People section.
3. Tap the District 6 account, and then enter your contribution amount and hit Pay.

 

Venmo does not charge a fee for sending money from a linked bank account or debit card. There is a 3% fee for using a linked credit card.
You can download the app for free from the app store. Venmo is a service of PayPal.

If a specific group is to be credited, include the Group Service number, name, and location!
